Certified CMMC Assessor – the highest level of the CMMC assessment ecosystem – certification independently validating authority to assess defense contractors for compliance with cybersecurity regulations.

CERTIFIED CMMC PROFESSIONAL

Certified CMMC Professional – certification independently validating knowledge about CMMC cybersecurity for defense contractors – the second highest CMMC certification before assessor.

CMMC REGISTERED PRACTITIONER

CMMC Registered Practitioner – certification independently validating knowledge about CMMC basics for defense contractors – the lowest level official CMMC recognition.

The Disaster Recovery Institute asked Mike to become certified in Cyber Resilience, combining cyber incident response with business continuity planning, rewrite their cyber resilience training courses,  and become an instructor.

Disaster Recovery Institute Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) – the recognized world standard for business continuity professionals.

MIKE HAS BEEN A CBCP SINCE 2006 AND HAS WRITTEN BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANS FOR BUSINESSES ACROSS MANY INDUSTRIES. HIS PLANS HAVE HELPED BUSINESSES SURVIVE SUPERSTORM SANDY, THE JOPLIN TORNADO, AND MANY SMALLER DISASTERS AND DISRUPTIONS YOU DIDN’T HEAR ABOUT. IN 2021, MIKE WAS SELECTED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE DISASTER RECOVERY INSTITUTE TO SERVE ON A SMALL COMMITTEE TO REWRITE THE INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES FOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANNING.
